Using The Pages Tab

The “Pages” tab gives an overview of all the pages that are currently in your publication.

The pages are shown as thumbnails in a column on the right-hand side. Clicking on a thumbnail will take you to that page, on the canvas, so that you can review and edit it.

Selecting the three dots from the top right of the thumbnails column gives you three options, “Insert Pages”, “Move Page” and “Duplicate Page”.

Select “Insert Pages” to open a pop-up. Then, in “Pages”, select how many pages you’d like to add. “Insert” allows you to choose where the new pages will go, for example, “After Page 1”.

Select “Move Page” to open a pop-up. This time, “Page” refers to which page number you’d like to move. And, again, you can choose where the page will go. Choosing “Before Page 1”, for example, will make the page you’re working on your cover.

The “Duplicate Page” tool does not have a pop-up. You simply select the thumbnail of the page you’d like to duplicate, click “Duplicate Page” and a copy of the selected page will appear at the bottom of the column of thumbnails.

To delete a page that you no longer need, simply select it and then click on the trash-can icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the highlighted page’s thumbnail.

To quickly add a blank page, you can also click “ + “ at the bottom of the column of thumbnails. A blank page will automatically be added to the end of the list.

You can change page settings using the “Pages” tab, too.

Select the thumbnail of the page you’d like to work on and then click the cog icon to open a pop-up.

Here, you can add a page title and description.

You can also:

  • Change the page’s background colour using the colour picker tool
  • Add a background image by selecting the drop-down menu to access your “Content Library”

There’s also the option to adjust:

  • The size of the background image in its container using an aspect ratio
  • The background image’s position
  • Whether or not the image scrolls with the user as they read your publication

Once a background image has been added to the page on your canvas, you can choose “Add Content” then “Features” to include elements like text, buttons and so on, too.

If you’re not happy with the changes you’ve made to your page, select the page’s thumbnail from the list and choose the icon on the left-hand side. All content will be cleared and you’ll be left with a blank page.
